Program Overview

ImPower is a structured mentorship program designed to guide aspiring IT professionals through career transitions, skill development, and networking. This program helps mentees build confidence, define their career path, and secure their next tech role.

Program Structure

Each mentee will receive a tailored mentorship plan based on their career goals. Their individual mentorship outline will include:

A personalized IT career roadmap.
Weekly check-ins & action items.
Custom learning recommendations (courses, certifications, projects).
Industry connections & networking opportunities.

Phase 1: Discovery & Career Path Clarity (Weeks 1-2)

Initial assessment of skills, experience, and interests.
Identify the right IT career track (Project Management, Infrastructure, Software, etc.).
Set personalized goals and create a tailored career roadmap.

Phase 2: Skill Building & Resume Optimization (Weeks 3-4)

Review and optimize resumes & LinkedIn profiles.
Identify gaps in skills and recommend learning resources (courses, certifications, projects, etc).
Develop a personal brand strategy to stand out in job applications.

Phase 3: Interview & Networking Strategies (Weeks 5-6)

Mock interview sessions with real-world IT scenario questions.
Teach social engineering techniques to expand professional networks.
Introduce mentees to industry professionals (coffee chats, networking events).

Phase 4: Job Search & Career Acceleration (Weeks 7-8)

Create a strategic job application plan.
Apply to targeted roles with personalized resumes and cover letters.
Prepare for the first 90 days in a new role (expectations, career growth strategies).

I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to wonder how to break into tech, and to question if you’re even on the right path. My career didn’t start with a fancy title or a direct line to success—it started with curiosity, ambition, and a lot of uphill climbs.

While working full-time, I earned my Master’s in Project Management with a 4.0 GPA and graduated with Distinction. Before that, I majored in Management Information Systems and minored in Accounting, leading student organizations and constantly challenging myself to grow.

Through every step—navigating career pivots, I’ve led major IT projects, and building Smart Home PM—I’ve learned how to turn uncertainty into strategy and struggle into success. I shifted between disciplines and carved out space in rooms where no one handed me a seat—I built my own.
